Friends are your family…that’s what I was reminded of this week.
Good friends are just like family, and it really helped put my nerves at ease since both of our families are so far away from us. The thought of raising a baby without 10 cousins and 20 aunts around is pretty scary when that is all you have known. I know I take for granted the amount of people that love and care for us…but this week I was definitely reminded.
Our super creative and amazingly sweet friend Kristin started a new business making small batch 100% organic lip balms, called BMore Balm. We are so excited for her and love the new product. Well, she surprised us the other day announcing that she was making a special edition balm called “Adopting Baby Moore” Balm and donating all of the proceeds to the Baby Moore Go Fund Me! I cried, several times, and couldn’t believe the generosity and thoughtfulness! Kristin just said, “You are my friends and I love you guys. Friends are family.” Sometimes it just takes someone to remind you that it doesn’t take a blood bond to be family. If you would like to purchase an Adopting Baby Moore balm in the limited edition strawberry mint flavor, just email: email@example.com and shipping is FREE!
Another of our friends, who also happens to be an amazingly talented photographer in the Baltimore Area, has offered to take our profile photos and design a cool video for prospective moms to check out and see why we would be good parents for their baby. We can’t thank Sid enough for his creativity and skill, and for bringing along his trusty assistant Jenn to help get all of the best shots! SidJacks Photography does amazing work, and we are so grateful for all of their amazing help. If you love amazing photos, check out his website at www.sidjacks.com because he has some beautiful prints.
The love of our families, and the support and love of our friends has helped to get us through these beginning stages of the adoption process. We are done with all of our pieces of the home study process and our website went LIVE on Wednesday night. It’s really exciting and nerve racking all at the same time! Thank you all for reading our updates, sharing our story and for your donations. Without your help this process would not be possible…and we love and appreciate you!
As always if you can you can always donate directly to our Go Fund Me.
