This week was challenging, but we continued with our adoption plan. My aunt lost her 10+ year battle with cancer so working on the plan wasn’t something that I thought I would be able to do. I wanted to be there for my family, and make sure I got to see as many of my family members as I could while they were in town for the funeral. My Uncle Don served as pastor for the funeral service and it was beautiful. He spoke about loving your family, and making sure that you overcome your differences and have a forgiving and loving heart. His words helped my family get through this difficult time, but also made me realize that I should use this time with my family to talk to them about our adoption journey, and the joy and happiness we are experiencing while we work on growing our family. I am so grateful that I was able to be there with them. I’ve really held on to my uncle’s message and let go of a lot of things I have been holding on to that has caused tension in the family. I am choosing to focus on the positive and loving memories I have, and of the amazing memories we will make with the new baby. Before we left Bertram and I got to spend some time with our nieces Harli, Emma, and Jordyn, and our nephews JR and Aidan. I love these kids like they are my own, and they are all so excited to meet their new cousin. I love spending time with them, I can only image how great it will be when I don’t have to give them back before I leave. Here are a few photos of us with some of my favorite “tiny humans”. We were able to finish our Adoption Photobook this week, and are working on the Home Study documents. Its a long process, but I know it will all pay off in the end.Thank you all for reading, and for continuing to share our story with your friends and family. As of today we have over 300 shares on Facebook of our Go Fund Me campaign and its because of your support that we are able to move forward! We have achieved over $1000 in donations in under a week! Thank you, thank you, thank you a thousand times over for your love, support, and friendship. We will update you all again in another week!
